The BC Refugee Hub is hosting in-person training workshops focused on mental health crisis management, specifically designed for organizations and frontline workers supporting refugee claimants. These workshops provide invaluable resources and practical tools to help strengthen your organization’s mental health crisis response plans. Developed in partnership with VAST as part of the BC Safe Haven Resource Network, led by AMSSA, and funded by the Province of British Columbia. Speakers from VAST cover topics including cross-cultural support, expressive art techniques, and trauma-informed practice. Workshops take place across BC regions including Fraser Valley (Abbotsford), Interior and North (Online via Zoom), Metro Vancouver, and Vancouver Island. Priority is given to BC Safe Haven and NSP funded program team members. Community partners serving refugee claimants can also register.
